Life VestsLife vests are manufactured specifically for adults or children, and can be single or dual chamber. The overhaul cycle on life vests vary depending on the OEM and part number, but generally FAA regulations require testing on a periodic basis.Recertification ServicesThe recertification fee includes all the costs associated with recertifying the life vest. These costs include receiving inspection, unpacking, air retension tests, relief valve test, hydrotest of the reservoir cylinder, hydrotest of the hoses, bench test of the aspirators, minimal patchwork, overhaul of the reservoir valves, packing, and the issuance of an accurate 8130/work order documentation. SEMCO would charge additional costs for parts and services outside the scope of the standard recertification.The most common occurrences include:
